Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how wolfes.club ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use the wolfes.club mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who We Are
wolfes.club is a motorcycle pack tracking app that enables riders to organize, discover, and participate in rides, packs, and events.
We act as the Data Controller for personal data processed through the Service.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate a motorcycle riding platform.
A. Information You Provide
- Name, email, phone number
- Profile photo and riding preferences
- Bike details (make, model, year)
- Emergency contact details (if enabled)
- Pack and event participation
- Payment and subscription details (processed by third-party providers)
B. Data Collected Automatically
- Device information
- IP address
- App usage
- Log data
C. Location & Ride Data
If you enable tracking, we collect:
- Live GPS location during rides
- Routes, distance, speed, and ride history
Location data is collected only when you start or join a live trip.
D. Safety Data
If enabled:
- Crash detection events
- SOS signals
- Emergency alerts
3. Why We Use Your Data (Legal Basis)
Under GDPR and India DPDP, we process data only when legally permitted.
We use your data to:
| Purpose | Legal Basis |
|---|---|
| Create and manage your account | Contract |
| Enable rides, tracking, and navigation | Contract |
| Run PRO subscriptions & packs | Contract |
| Improve app performance | Legitimate interest |
| Provide safety features | Vital interest / consent |
| Send service notifications | Legitimate interest |
| Process payments | Contract |
| Legal compliance | Legal obligation |
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Background Location
Wolfes.club offers a Live Trip feature that lets riders share their location with other participants in the same ride in real time. When you join or start a live trip, the app collects your precise GPS location and transmits it to our servers, which relay it to other riders in your trip group.
When we collect background location
Only while a live trip is active and only after you have explicitly joined or started a trip. If you move the app to the background or lock your phone mid-ride, location sharing continues so your fellow riders don't lose you on the map. A persistent notification is shown on your device the entire time background tracking is active, so you always know when it's running.
When we stop
Background location collection stops automatically when:
- the trip ends,
- you leave the trip,
- you revoke location permission in your device settings, or
- you force-close the app.
What we do with it
Live location is transmitted to trip participants over an authenticated WebSocket connection and is briefly stored on our servers as part of the trip's route history. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or sold to third parties. It is not collected when no trip is active.
Your control
You can deny or revoke background location permission at any time in your device settings. The app will continue to work for all non-live features (planning trips, browsing packs, chat, profile). Live trip tracking simply will not function without this permission.
5. Push Notifications
We use push notifications to deliver time-sensitive information related to your rides and community activity, including:
- Ride invitations and updates from your packs,
- SOS and safety alerts from riders in your active trip,
- Chat messages from pack members and trip participants,
- Trip reminders and status changes (e.g., a trip you joined has started).
How it works
Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google LLC. When you sign in, your device generates an FCM registration token, which we store linked to your account. We use this token only to route notifications to your device. The token is deleted when you log out, uninstall the app, or disable notifications.
What's in a notification
Notifications may contain the sender's name, a short message preview, and trip or pack identifiers. SOS notifications additionally indicate the sender's location so other riders can respond. Notification content passes through Google's FCM infrastructure as part of standard delivery.
Your control
You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's system settings. Disabling notifications will not prevent you from using the app, but you may miss real-time safety alerts from fellow riders.
6. Third-Party Services and Sub-Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate Wolfes.club. Each processor handles your data only for the purposes listed below and under a data processing agreement.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data handled | Location |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication & Database | Supabase, Inc. (USA) | User accounts, profiles, ride data storage | Email, phone, profile, ride history, chat | AWS ap-south-1 |
| API Hosting | Google Cloud Platform — Cloud Run (USA) | Backend application hosting | All app data in transit | us-central1 |
| Push Notifications | Firebase Cloud Messaging — Google LLC (USA) | Delivery of push notifications | FCM device token, notification payload | Google infrastructure |
| Crash & Error Reporting | Firebase Crashlytics — Google LLC (USA) | Diagnose app crashes | Device model, OS version, stack traces, Crashlytics install ID, and — for signed-in users — your Wolfes.club user ID so we can correlate a crash with the affected account when investigating a bug report | Google infrastructure |
| Maps & Routing | Google Maps Platform — Google LLC (USA) | Map display, directions, place search | Approximate location (for map centering), search queries | Google infrastructure |
| Authentication Providers (optional) | Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In | Social login | Email, name (as provided by you) | Google / Apple |
| Media Storage | Supabase Storage | Profile photos, trip photos | Images you upload | AWS ap-south-1 |
Each provider's privacy policy is available at their respective websites:
We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs that track you across other apps, or data brokers. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Ride Groups, SOS, and Emergency Contacts
Wolfes.club is a social riding app, which means some of your data is deliberately shared with other riders you choose to ride with. You should understand what is visible to whom.
What other riders in your trip can see
When you join a trip, the following information is visible to the trip organizer and all other approved participants of that trip:
- Your display name and profile photo,
- Your bike (make, model, year),
- Your live GPS location during the ride,
- Your speed and distance covered,
- Chat messages you send to the trip group.
Phone numbers
The trip organizer only can see participants' phone numbers, so they can contact you directly if something goes wrong during a ride. Other participants cannot see each other's phone numbers.
SOS alerts
If you trigger the SOS button during a live trip, the app will:
- Broadcast your identity and last known GPS location to every participant of that trip (both via real-time WebSocket and push notification),
- Store the SOS event in our database as part of the trip record for post-ride review.
SOS alerts are intentionally high-priority and cannot be suppressed within an active trip — this is a safety feature. If you do not want this behavior, do not join live trips.
Emergency contacts
You may optionally add emergency contacts to your profile (name and phone number). We do not automatically contact these people. Emergency contacts are stored on your profile so that a trip organizer or fellow rider can reach them manually if you are unreachable after an SOS or a crash-detection event. We do not share emergency contact details with any third party, advertiser, or other rider outside a legitimate safety situation.
Crash detection
Crash detection only runs during an active live trip. It uses your device's motion sensors (accelerometer and, where available, gyroscope) to watch for a sudden, high-magnitude deceleration consistent with an impact. No sensor data leaves your device unless a possible crash is detected.
When a possible crash is detected, the app prompts you to confirm you're okay. If you confirm it was a false alarm, the event is marked as dismissed and the sensor snapshot is discarded; only a minimal record that a dismissed event occurred is kept, solely so we can tune detection thresholds, and it is deleted within 30 days. If you do not respond, or you confirm the crash, the app alerts other participants in your active trip and stores the event alongside the trip record for post-ride review and safety follow-up, retained on the same schedule as the rest of the trip data.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored or processed outside your country.
We ensure appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections, for cross-border transfers.
9. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary:
- Account data → until you delete your account
- Ride data → until deleted by you or legally required
- Chat messages → retained for the lifetime of the trip or pack in which they were sent. You can delete your own messages at any time, which removes them from our database (they may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being purged on the schedule in Section 11). When you delete your account, your messages are hard-deleted within 30 days; messages sent to group chats are replaced with a "Former Rider" placeholder so the rest of the conversation stays intact for other participants.
- Dismissed crash-detection events → 30 days (see Section 7)
- Payment records → as required by law
10. Your Rights (GDPR + India DPDP)
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Withdraw consent
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive a copy of your data
You can exercise these rights by contacting:
support@wolfes.club
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- On the web: wolfes.club/delete-account
- By email: support@wolfes.club
When you delete your account:
- Your profile, bikes, chat messages, and uploaded photos are removed within 30 days.
- Your trip history is anonymized (your user ID is replaced with a generic "Former Rider" marker) so that other participants' ride records remain intact.
- Encrypted backups containing your data continue to exist for up to 90 days while they age out of our backup rotation. During that window the backups are not used to serve the product — they are access-restricted to a small number of engineers for disaster recovery only, and are not used to restore your account unless we need to comply with a legal obligation or recover from a system-wide incident. After 90 days the backups containing your data are overwritten.
- Some records may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes, abuse/safety records).
12. Content Moderation & Reporting
Wolfes.club is a community platform where riders share trips, photos, and messages. To keep the community safe we use a combination of automated and human review. See our Community Guidelines for the full rules.
Automated moderation
- Chat messages are automatically scanned for offensive language. Matched words are redacted before the message is delivered to other riders.
- Repeated abuse may result in account suspension at our discretion.
Reporting
You can report any user, chat message, trip, or pack that you believe violates our community guidelines:
- In a chat: long-press the message → “Report message”.
- On a profile: tap the menu (···) → “Report user”.
Reports include the type of content, your selected reason (spam, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence, self-harm, impersonation, or other) and optional details. We review reports and may remove content, warn users, or remove accounts.
Blocking
You can block any other user at any time:
- In a chat: long-press their message → “Block user”.
- On a profile: tap the menu (···) → “Block user”.
Once blocked, neither party can see the other’s messages, posts, or profile activity inside Wolfes.club. You can review and remove blocks at any time under Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.
Response times
We aim to review reports within 72 hours. For urgent safety concerns (threats, immediate harm), contact local emergency services first, then email us at support@wolfes.club.
Data we keep about reports and blocks
- Reports include the reporter’s user ID, the reported target, the reason, and any details you provide. We retain them as long as the account is active so we can identify repeat offenders.
- Block records (who you blocked, and when) are stored on your account until you remove them.
- Both are covered by the standard data export and deletion rights described above.
13. Security
We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure.
However, no system is 100% secure. Use the Service at your own risk.
14. Minimum Age
Wolfes.club is intended for users who are legally permitted to ride a motorcycle in their country. Minimum ages:
- United States and most other jurisdictions: 13 years or older, with additional restrictions for users under 16 in the EEA/UK.
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom: 16 years or older (in line with GDPR Article 8).
- India: 18 years or older (in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).
Age is self-declared at signup. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a user below the applicable minimum age, we will delete the account and its associated data. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact support@wolfes.club.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
